I recently wrote an article for LAVA Magazine on the 70.3 World Championships taking place Sunday, Sept. 9 in Las Vegas (well, actually, it’s in Henderson, NV). To prep for the article I did a bunch of research on the top contenders — we chose 12 men, 12 women — gathering info from their websites, race result sites, doing interviews and more. It was actually quite a bit of time-consuming work! Good thing I love this sport and all the race results so it was an enjoyable process for me. In fact, now I’m doing the same type of article on the Ironman World Championships in Kona for LAVA Magazine as well!

Anyways, I have a bunch of leftover notes from the LAVA article that I couldn’t let go to waste. I mean, there’s really nowhere where you can find the race results/stats and notable info of the top pros in the race. So I put together a women’s and men’s preview on my TriTawn blog. I only inlcuded eight girls and guys each, you have to grab LAVA for the rest.

Here are the links to the Vegas previews:

What do you think of the lists? Who do you expect to see on the podium?
